My abstract work maps the organic connectedness between the natural, microscopic, cosmic, and man-made worlds. I am fascinated by recurring patterns in nature—from the veins of a leaf or person to aerial views of rivers and streams, neurons and tree branches, lightning, and the lines of a palm. There is an eerie similarity between images of the cosmos and cellular activity in the human body. I use paint to explore the balance between these raw and beautiful forms.
